Maya Biosphere Reserve

The Maya Biosphere Reserve in Northern Guatemala's Petén region is the largest intact tropical rainforest in Central America. Established in 1990, the 3.75 million-acre reserve protects seven core areas, including four national parks and three wildlife reserves called biotopos in Spanish. ReservationsTo reserve a space at the Eco-Escuela de Español or the Bio-Itza Escuela, Tikal Connection needs to receive the following items from you at least two weeks in advance of the Monday you wish to begin. Students will be accepted on a last-minute basis according to space availability. more
